FAssured is Flipkart's quality programme — and products with the badge get priority placement. Here's how to qualify.

What is the Flipkart FAssured Badge?

The FAssured badge is Flipkart's seal of quality for products that meet specific standards around quality, delivery reliability, and return policy. When a product carries the FAssured badge, it signals to buyers that the product has been quality-checked, will be delivered on time, and comes with a straightforward return policy. For sellers, FAssured status brings significant commercial benefits beyond just the badge itself.

Why FAssured Matters for Sellers

FAssured products receive preferential treatment in Flipkart's search and sort algorithm. In most category searches, FAssured products appear in the top rows before non-FAssured alternatives. Given that most buyers don't scroll past page 1, this placement advantage translates directly to higher impressions, clicks, and conversions.

Additionally, FAssured products are eligible for Flipkart's promotional events, including Big Billion Days featured placements and Flipkart Mall visibility. Brands without FAssured status are often excluded from these high-traffic windows entirely.

How to Qualify for FAssured

Route 1: Flipkart Fulfillment (FF)

The easiest path to FAssured is enrolling in Flipkart Fulfillment — Flipkart's equivalent of Amazon FBA. When your inventory is stored in Flipkart's warehouses, the platform controls the entire fulfillment process and can guarantee delivery timelines. Most FF listings automatically receive FAssured status if the seller account is in good standing.

Route 2: Self-Ship FAssured

Sellers who self-ship can also qualify for FAssured but must meet stricter performance thresholds:

  • Seller rating above 4.5 stars (maintained over the previous 90 days)
  • On-time dispatch rate above 97%
  • Return percentage below category benchmarks (typically 8–12% depending on category)
  • Packaging compliance as per Flipkart's guidelines (verified through random audits)
  • Minimum order volume threshold — varies by category

Maintaining Your FAssured Status

FAssured is not a permanent award — it's reviewed periodically. A sustained drop in seller ratings, a spike in returns, or repeated late dispatches will trigger a review and potential removal. Flipkart sends automated notifications before removing FAssured status, giving sellers a window to correct issues.

Monitor your Seller Hub performance dashboard weekly. The key indicators to watch are your CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) score, dispatch rate, and return rate. Set internal alert thresholds slightly tighter than Flipkart's official minimums — this gives you buffer to correct issues before they trigger official warnings.

FAssured vs Flipkart Mall

Flipkart Mall is an elevated tier above FAssured, available to brand-authorised sellers and manufacturers selling genuine branded products. Mall sellers get premium placement, brand page access, and participation in Flipkart's brand partnerships programme. If you're a brand owner (not a reseller), pursuing Mall status is worth the additional compliance requirements. FAssured is the stepping stone to Mall eligibility.
